Umpire

Panel 1. At a night game, a big man in a faded green home jersey sits directly behind the backstop screen at home plate, cups his hands around his mouth, and shouts toward the field. Duane: “HEY, REF! YOU SUCK!”

Panel 2. Sam remains crouched behind the catcher and does not turn around. Sam: “Umpire.”

Panel 3. Duane leans forward from the same seat. Duane: “WHAT?” The catcher glances toward Sam. Catcher: “Who's that?” Sam: “Duane. Every home game.”

Panel 4. Duane cups his hands and shouts again while Sam stays composed behind the catcher. Duane: “YOU SUCK AS AN UMPIRE!” Sam: “Better.”
